the ocean,
its roar lulls me into the present moment.
with no meditative effort of silence,
i am already there.
inhale,
feeling safe.
exhale,
thought enters.
heartbreak,
distrust,
suffering.
the struggle of knowing where my own loyalty stands when being manipulated to believe the contrary.
chained.
you were meant to be my freedom-
...you had other plans for me.
your power is dark,
a reflection of your hurt soul only able to release fiery.
hurting the souls of others as you have been hurt,
a vicious cycle you cannot control...
a powerful weakness.
unchained,
the face of freedom shines in an unfamiliar way.
i wasn't ready for this, but the gods of this wondrous place work in mysterious ways.
in the end i have my freedom, but what of everyone else?
having my own freedom doesn't set free the guilt.
the guilt that i have left them, our united front one less warrior...
the ocean is roaring, yet whispering a single word:
